About This Adventure

From the air, Canyonlands looks like another planet — layered rock stretching to the horizon, the Colorado and Green Rivers carving their ancient paths thousands of feet below. Your pilot traces the rim of the Island in the Sky district, banks over the White Rim Trail, and gives you the kind of perspective that makes you understand why this place is called what it is. Back on the ground, the adventure shifts gears. A private 4x4 carries you along a rugged backcountry route to a spot that very few people ever see: a natural rock platform overlooking the canyon, where a table, chairs, and a locally sourced meal are waiting. It's the kind of experience that sounds impossible until you're sitting there, glass in hand, watching the light change.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • All flights are operated by FAA-certified pilots with thousands of hours of canyon country experience. Aircraft are maintained to the highest standards.

  • A curated spread featuring local charcuterie, artisan cheeses, fresh fruit, gourmet sandwiches, and your choice of wine, craft beer, or non-alcoholic drinks.

  • Moderate — the 4x4 handles everything. You'll be a passenger, not a driver. It's bumpy but exciting, and the destination is worth every mile.

  • The full experience runs 5–6 hours. A shortened version (flight + abbreviated drive) can be arranged — ask when booking.

  • Safety comes first. If weather prevents flying, we'll either reschedule or convert to an extended off-road + picnic experience with a partial refund for the flight portion.
