Raven's Rim Via Ferrata & Challenge Course

About This Adventure

Via ferrata — "iron road" in Italian — uses fixed iron rungs and cable systems anchored into the rock face to make climbing routes accessible to anyone, regardless of technical background. Raven's Rim follows the canyon rim above the Colorado River corridor, gaining elevation through sections of increasing exposure as you clip and unclip up the wall.

Your guide fits you with a harness and demonstrates technique before the first move; from there, you climb at your own pace. The views that open at the rim — the Colorado below, the La Sal Mountains to the east, the canyon country spreading in every direction — earn every grip and foothold that got you there. All gear and instruction provided; 2–3 hours.

Free cancellation up to 48 hours after booking. Cancellations within 48 hours of your experience are subject to a 50% charge. No-shows are non-refundable.

Frequently Asked Questions

• What are the age and weight requirements?+

  Participants must be 10 years of age or older and weigh between 80 and 275 lbs. Guests 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult participant 18 or older. Guests 16–17 may participate alone with a parent or legal guardian waiver signed. Pregnant women may not participate.

• Can I take photos during the tour?+

  Yes, you are encouraged to take as many photos as you like. It is recommended you have a way to attach your camera or phone to your person. Drones are not permitted during tours.

• What should I bring?+

  Bring a backpack or CamelPak with plenty of water and wear closed-toe shoes. Sandals and flip-flops are not permitted.

• When should I arrive?+

  Check in 20 minutes prior to your tour time.
