About This Adventure

Experience the expansive views and massive landscapes of Canyonlands National Park, a timeless and seemingly endless array of canyons and buttes. On this private tour, you and your group will enjoy a full day itinerary with featuring your preferred combination of stunning canyon overlooks connected by a wondrous paved driving route and punctuated by light walking or moderate hiking. Learn about the rivers, geology, human history, and biodiversity that make this unmatched desert landscape so unique.

Your guide will drive you through the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park, making stops to explore popular monuments and marvelous lookout points. There will be time for some short optional walks or longer hikes to explore some of the “greatest hits” such as Mesa Arch, Whale Rock, Upheaval Dome, Shafer Canyon and Orange Cliffs Overlooks, and the world famous Grand View Point. You will stop for a picnic lunch along the way. Your guide will share stories and information to help you get the most from your experience. Up to six guests per tour. Duration: about 8 hours

This tour can be designed to focus on sightseeing or hiking. Please let us know your preference upon booking! Your guide will work with you to plan just the right route for your group’s vision of the ideal national park experience.

Cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to departure receive a full refund minus a 15% cancellation fee. No refunds within 48 hours of departure without exception.

• What if it rains?+

  We run trips rain or shine — you're going to get wet anyway! In the rare event of dangerous weather (lightning, flash flood warnings), we'll reschedule your trip at no charge or provide a full refund.

• Do I need experience?+

  Not at all. This trip is rated Easy and designed for beginners. Your guide will give a full safety briefing and paddling instruction before you launch.

• What ages are allowed?+

  Children ages 5 and up are welcome. Kids under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Child-sized PFDs are provided.

• Can I bring my own gear?+

  All necessary rafting gear is provided. You're welcome to bring your own USCG-approved PFD if you prefer.

• How do I get there?+

  Meet us at Paradox Basecamp at 281 N Main St in Moab. We provide a free shuttle to the river put-in. Parking is available on-site.
